Allegiances
Users on Salvation are separated into three groups: Assassins, Templars, and Others. These categories mainly have to do with a character's alliance to a faction and do not actually mean that the character is an occupational assassin or templar. For instance, a doctor might be listed under the 'Assassin' group, which would mean that he was loyal to the Assassin cause and therefore would not knowingly serve a Templar or some one affiliated with the Templars. The 'Others' group covers a wide variety of people - essentially anyone who is neither affiliated with the Templars or Assassins. This would include people who are unaware of the Assassin/Templar conflict, people whose first loyalties are to a particular country or monarch, or people who simply do not care.
Occupations
After the three groups, characters are sorted by occupation. Any occupation that could be found in Renaissance England is permissible, but here is a short list for users who would like ideas or inspiration. When selecting an occupation for your character please keep in mind the societal limits that the Renaissance Era imposed on women. Women who have any extraordinary occupations that are not seen within the game itself will be less likely to be accepted to the site.
